Before you ask

Is the first consultation really free?

Yes. The initial consultation, career guidance, eligibility assessment and university recommendations are always free, whether or not you go on to use a paid package.

Are the degrees recognised outside Bulgaria?

The universities we work with are accredited, and their English-taught degrees are recognised across the European Union. If you plan to practise in a specific country, we'll talk you through that country's registration process during your consultation.

How much does it cost to study Medicine in Bulgaria?

Tuition for English-taught Medicine is typically 8,000 to 10,000 euros per academic year, usually paid in two instalments. Living costs are low by European standards; a modern city-centre apartment in Sofia rents for around 350 euros a month, and smaller cities cost less. We break down the full cost for your chosen university during your free consultation.

What are the entrance exams like?

Most universities assess biology and chemistry, and some also ask for an English test. Formats vary by university, and our Standard and Premium packages include structured guidance and registration support so you arrive prepared.

Do I need an agency to apply at all?

Honestly, no. You can apply to Bulgarian universities directly, and if you're confident handling document legalisation, translations, exam registration, visa appointments and finding housing in a country you've never lived in, we'd genuinely encourage it. What you pay MedPilot for is getting every step right the first time, one accountable person managing your case, and support that continues after you land. Our pricing is published upfront so you can weigh that for yourself.

What support do I get after I arrive?

Depending on your package: airport pickup, accommodation help, bank account and SIM card setup, residence permit support and local orientation. Every student gets access to our online community, student ambassadors and emergency support line throughout their degree.

Can my parents be involved in the process?

Absolutely. We regularly hold consultations with parents and school career advisers so the whole family understands the costs, the timeline and what to expect.
